On May 21, 2025, the Embassy of Luxembourg in Brussels hosted a distinguished evening titled “Luxembourg at the Forefront of Innovation”, featuring a keynote speech by Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy, SME, Energy and Tourism. The event gathered prominent business leaders, diplomats, and institutional representatives to discuss Luxembourg’s strategic vision for economic development and innovation.

The evening began with welcoming remarks from H.E. Mr. Jean-Louis Thill, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Belgium, and Mr. Carlo Thelen, CEO and Director General of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. Both speakers highlighted the importance of innovation, talent development, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Belgium and Luxembourg as key drivers of economic competitiveness.

Minister Lex Delles delivered a keynote speech outlining his vision for Luxembourg’s economic future, emphasizing the growing importance of innovation and defense as pillars of national strategy. He presented key initiatives, including the ambitious “10 Points for Startups” plan aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and simplifying administrative processes to accelerate innovation. Minister Delles also underscored Luxembourg’s commitment to sustainable energy development and industrial competitiveness within the European context.

The evening concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Rik Vandenberghe, President of the Business Club Belgium-Luxembourg, followed by a cocktail reception that fostered further dialogue and networking among participants.
