“Women in Tech” launched its chapter in Uzbekistan!
The opening ceremony of “Women in Tech Uzbekistan” was held in the building of the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
Uzbekistan is one of the first among the Central Asian countries.
Ayumi Moore Aoki, the founder of Women in Tech Global, a participant and speaker in global events such as PauseFest, TEDx, UFM Business Forum, GMI Summit and LEAP, participated in the opening ceremony as a special guest.
The presentation of the one-year strategy for women and girls in STEM fields in Uzbekistan, an introduction of the Board of Advisors, and a panel discussion with representatives of this Board on opportunities and problems in the field of technology, including gender issues were the main parts of the event. In addition, representatives of leading technology companies in Uzbekistan shared their experiences on the way to success.
A cultural program was presented to foreign guests in order to demonstrate the rich heritage of Uzbek culture, its classical and folk art and traditions.
