
On March 5, 2025, Ayumi Moore Aoki, Founder and CEO of Women in Tech® Global and Founder President of the Tech Diplomacy Forum, was honored with the prestigious Diversity in Tech Award at the 30th Annual Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards, held during GSMA’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This recognition highlights Ayumi’s outstanding leadership and tireless advocacy for gender inclusion and digital equity in the technology sector.
The GLOMO Awards, widely regarded as the mobile industry’s highest accolade, celebrate individuals and organizations driving innovation, excellence, and positive change across the digital landscape. The Diversity in Tech Award specifically honors those making significant strides in advancing inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity in technology.
Ayumi’s impact has been transformative. Through Women in Tech® Global, now active in over 60 countries and supporting more than 250,000 women and girls in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), she has championed education, entrepreneurship, digital inclusion, and advocacy. Her vision is to empower five million women and girls by 2030, bridging the digital divide and ensuring that women from all backgrounds have the opportunity to thrive in tech.
At the ceremony, GSMA’s Chief Marketing Officer, Lara Dewar, remarked, “Winning a GLOMO award is the highest mark of recognition from your peers across the connectivity industry, acknowledging unparalleled achievement across the entire digital landscape”[4].
